The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South Floor Hockey Hall of Fame was established in 2020 to recognize and celebrate the outstanding athletes, coaches, and supporters of our multi-generational floor hockey program.

The floor hockey program at our Taunton Clubhouse has been a source of community spirit and Club pride
since its inception in 1964 by league-founder Richard J. Faulkner. The dedicated individuals who contribute
to this program help us to instill in our members the importance of healthy habits and the values of
leadership, determination, and teamwork in their communities.

The Floor Hockey Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the floor hockey program at our Clubs by virtue of athletic performance or commendable service, and who leave a legacy of sportsmanship for our Club kids to uphold and aspire to. Every year, three new members are inducted into the Hall of Fame, and a banner honoring their legacies will hang in our gymnasium for all to view in perpetuity.

Hall of Fame Inductee Selection Process

Nominations are submitted each winter through our Taunton Clubhouse Facebook Page or to Kendall Folan, Director of Donor Relations, at 508-812-3119 x130 or at kfolan@bgcmetrosouth.org.

The five individuals with the most nominations will become our finalists, and public voting for finalists takes place at the end of each floor hockey season. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held before the Alumni Game each year. Individuals can only be inducted into the Hall of Fame one time.

2025 Nomination and Induction Dates:

Nominations Open - Thursday, December 26th at 9:00 AM.

Nominations Close - Monday, January 6th at 12:00 PM 

Public Voting on Five Finalists Open - Tuesday, January 7th at 9:00 AM

Public Voting on Finalists Closes - Monday, January 13th at 12:00 PM

Winners Announced - Tuesday, January 14th

Class of 2025 Induction Ceremony - Tuesday, January 28th at 5:00 PM
