Sarah Yunits serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges, a role she has held since 2021. As Deputy Executive Director, Sarah supports the work of the 15 community colleges in Massachusetts with a primary focus on systemwide coordination, statewide strategic goals, and government relations and policy.


Before joining MACC, Sarah worked in marketing and communications at Massasoit Community College, where she most recently served as a member of the President’s cabinet as the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications. In this role, she provided strategic counsel to the President and leaders across the college in matters of communications, external affairs, government relations, and public relations. In addition to her on-campus experience, Sarah served as Chief of Staff in both the House and Senate of the Massachusetts General Court to the late Thomas P. Kennedy of Brockton.


A first-generation college student, Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross and a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications from Stonehill College.


A resident of Brockton, Sarah served on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Brockton from 2013 – 2018 and rejoined the Board of the Metro South Clubs in 2020. She also serves on the Board of the City of Brockton War Memorial building.
